ABOUT LESKARTEN

 

Artist/designer Leslie Karten is known for her passion for innovation and unique vision in fashion. Alongside a career in Costume Design for Film and TV, she has designed collections that sold nationwide to Neiman Marcus, Fred Segal, Henri Bendel and boutiques throughout the US. After many years of designing the traditional 3-4 collections per year, Karten has chosen at this time to focus on coats as the canvas for her creations. Karten imports the finest fabrics from France, Italy and the UK and produces her garments in Los Angeles. Karten pushes creative boundaries through textural effects, intriguing combinations and draws inspiration from the arts, her NY roots, LA lifestyle, her summers in the South of France, and the endless love of her husband and three girls ‘trois filles’.
